Celebrating its 60th anniversary of this event in central London, Jewish Book Week (JBW '12) brings together a wide range of authors and scholars - historians and philosophers - to discuss their books and those of other authors in an ecumenical setting that certainly does not exclude non-Jewish visitors.  A Children's Day preceeds the main event, taking place on Sunday 5th February, whilst the main event brings together a huge range of books and topics covering almost literally every topic under the sun.

Happening at the same time as London Fashion Week, the BRIT Awards are a major event in the music calendar and endorse London's pre-eminent position in the world of modern music.  You and I may monitor the site linked above from 12th January, when the nominations are announced, until the main event, when the stars gather at the O2 Arena to find out who has won the coveted BRITs.  The BRIT Awards are open to you and to me but we recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible as demand is always very high.  Not just a night of awards, of course, as the BRIT Awards sees perfromances from many of the world's music celebrities.
